A seasoned craftsman
happened to walk by.
He glanced at the fire,
then at the young man’s back,
and let out a quiet laugh.
Then he said:
“Don’t just sit there
staring into the fire.
It’ll make you start
talking about your life.”
After a brief moment of stillness,
everyone around burst into laughter.
The young man, too,
smiled with a hint of embarrassment.
